DO as you described...
I would do it the way you describe. I would not use Time Machine to recover a machine verbatim, as Time Machine does NOT backup the whole set of content (which I discovered unfortunately when I tried to restore after restoring a SuperDuper copy to a close point).
SuperDuper is the only thing I rely on. |
