partitioned correctly?
when i try to use my external hard drive as a start up disk but after i press the option button at start up my external HD is not one of the options. I think i may have pertitioned it wrong. Is there a simple way to check to see if they are correct?

Open Disk Utility, select the external drive hardware and look at the lower right side of the window, next to "Partition Scheme"...
