Leopard test - CCC full, then SD Smart
Just got a Maxtor One Touch Mini 160 GB for my Santa Rosa MacBook 2.2 160 GB today.
CCC worked just fine, but took 1 hour 20 minutes to backup 63 GB (I have 1 GB RAM). I used the MacBook a little today. No new movies or ITunes. Got the idea to try SuperDuper in Smart Update mode. It took about 8 minutes to do the update. I was excited. The One Touch Mini was still bootable, but my wall paper was the default Leopard version. I didn't go any further. Oh well, it was just a test. |

Right, not unexpected -- as I've tried to say over and over, we're not yet compatible...

I didn't know that if you select this option, CCC would only copy those files that had changed. It is similar to Smart Update in SuperDuper and IT DOES WORK. I am still looking forward to a Leopard version of SuperDuper, but now that I know how to run CCC, I'm not concerned when it comes out. |
