Newbie stuck on how to restore
Hi all, brand new to SD, mostly new to Mac OS.
I've managed to use SD to create a sparse image on an external firewire drive. But when I boot from the Leopard DVD, it will not let me choose that file as a restore file. So I tried creating another, different image using the "read only" option to create a standard dmg file. However, SD will not complete that one, saying it can't make the file read only. (it gets all the way through the copy, but then won't make it read only as one of the last steps). There is other data on the firewire drive, or I would just use that to make a clone of my existing drive. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Sorry if it's something easy... This is my first time using this software. TIA for any help you can give. |
