Duplicate User folders ?
Hi,
I have just done a full backup to an external usb2.0 drive from my macbook using a registered version of SuperDuper! and then a full restore back to the macbook drive, to defrag. But I seem to have less hard-disk space than I should and my /Users folder looks like this now; sh-3.2# pwd /Users sh-3.2# ls -la total 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 root admin 272 18 Jul 12:08 . drwxrwxr-t 32 root admin 1156 18 Jul 05:05 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 0 31 May 2008 .localized dr-x------ 3 paul staff 102 4 Dec 2008 .paul drwxrwxrwt 8 root wheel 272 3 Jan 2009 Shared drwx------+ 50 paul staff 1768 18 Jul 12:08 paul drwx------+ 2 paul staff 68 17 Jul 18:07 paul 1 drwx------+ 5 paul staff 170 18 Jul 12:03 paul 2 sh-3.2# Can you tell me why I have so many "paul" folders ? I am using FileVault. Can I safely remove any of these ? Best regards, Paul |
