Is this backup speed too slow?
I have been doing regular smart updates of my Time Machine disc but for the past couple of weeks the updates have taken much longer then before. Are these numbers normal?
After 7 hours, 4.4 million of 5.9 million files evaluated, 0 files copied. Effective copy speed 25.76 MiB/s. 264 GB evaluated, 656.92 already up to date, 0 MiB copied. The complete update is taking about 10 hours, where it used to complete in about 6 hours. Thanks for any input on this!!! Charles |

Your Time Machine backup is getting larger and larger, and more and more complicated, and the drives are likely getting more and more fragmented over time...

It's what we're able to do given the combination of hardware, file system and software you have...
