Alternating drives as offsite backups
I've got two drives that I use as offsite backups. I have one offsite at all times, while the other one is attached to my wife's MacPro. I do an automatic scheduled backup to that drive over our wireless network every night, and then about every 7 days I switch over the drives. That way there is a backup only a day old in the house at all times, and offsite a backup that is only a week old.
My problem is that although the drives are identical in names, passwords, and sizes, the system sees them as different drives, so every time I switch them over I have to reconfigure the scheduled backup to deal with a 'new' drive - which is a pain. Is there any way to make it so they are interchangeable - that is, that I can alternate them and have SD backup to whichever one is connected? |

Please send some email to support and I'll provide you with a method to do this.
