How to fix poor performance during back up?
Hi,
Every time I run X my entire computer’s functions slow down dramatically. Any thoughts or suggestions? |

Well -- are you running an AntiVirus program? Could it be spotlight? Does Activity Monitor show you what might be slowing things down?

I don't use my computer when I run SD!. I wouldn't want to change anything at the same time I'm trying to copy. I make sure that I quit MAIL first, too. I just put it on Smart Update and leave the room for a half hour.
