NAS folder sync with SD?
Hi everyone,
Just inserted a Drobo FS (NAS) into my home network (Win7 PC and Mac Pro 10.6.3), wired GigE connection. I'm currently using SD to backup my Mac to a sparsebundle on a NAS share. Works great. (I use Ghost 15 to backup the PC to a separate share.) Now I am hoping to copy relevant media (music, photos, movies, TV) to a separate share on the NAS to make it available 24/7 to my entertainment center (awaiting a Popbox) without having to worry if my Mac is turned on. I will be adding stuff via the Mac, but want to have a periodic sync between my Mac and a NAS share. It is possible that the sync needs to be bi-directional. Can I achieve this with SD? We're not talking clones here, or bootable anything. Just folder synch from Mac to NAS. thanks so much... |

Sorry, no: we can't copy directly to or from a network drive (unless you're using iSCSI).
