busy disk?
I suspect this isn't a SuperDuper issue, but I am puzzled. When I connect up a spare backup disk (not my primary backup disk, which is always connected and scheduled), and power it up, it whirrs and grinds and burbles continuously. I don't see a steady green "I'm ready" light for many many minutes. What in the world is going on, with this backup disk? Is this telling me that something is amiss with the older SuperDuper backup that is supposed to be resident on that disk? Do I need to wait for that steady green light before starting a new clone?
It has something to do with the computer on which it is mounted, because if I unmount that disk, I quickly see steady green. |
